With more than 300.000 geotechnical borehole profiles, Geo's digital archive is Denmark's most extensive knowledge database on the Danish subsurface.
Geo has systematically collected geodata since 1943, primarily in urban areas and prior to major infrastructure projects. Both the archive and numerous reports have already been digitized.
Most of our data are presented in GeoAtlas Live, and the rest can be ordered on request
Read moreGeoAtlas Live is a multifunctional and user-friendly web-based platform which aid the user in visualizing the subsurface.
The data sharing portal and API solution contains geotechnical and geological data from Geo, GEUS (Jupiter database) as well as from contractors and consultants who join the solution. Currently, it already contains more than 600.000 boreholes with new ones being added every day.
The platform contains more than one hundred 3D-models of the subsurface, including both Geo’s own detailed models as well as publicly available models. Additionally, it contains various thematic layers, isopotential maps and other geodata relevant for experts working with the subsurface.
Read moreGeo continuously works on digitizing its historical archive by updating and expanding current models, in order to constantly improve the quality of Geo’s dynamic models and spatial distribution. Concurrently, Geo continuously updates and incorporates data from existing regional models and surveys from the national monitoring of Danish groundwater resources in the modelling processes.
Geo offers data which, compared to publicly available data, is more detailed and of high quality.
Read moreIt is crucial to know the geological and hydrological conditions in the subsurface when undertaking new projects or upgrading existing facilities.
Here at Geo, we are experts in this, and work with the digital support of such projects in our geodata departments.
Read moreAt Geo we have years of experience with digitizing our own project archives from paper into digital web archives which provide optimal and effective opportunities for visualizing and searching for projects.
We have developed our platform GeoTizer to automate and optimize the process of digitizing historical borehole profiles.
Read moreGeophysical surveys are important mapping tools which are used both on and offshore, often in combination with CPT tests and boreholes. Geo has a vast experience with planning and managing the geophysical tests, as well as processing, implementing, and applying the geophysical data in complex analyses both during and after mapping. These analyses can cover everything from preliminary desktop studies to more extensive 3D-integrated geological, geotechnical, and geophysical models. Our goal is to ensure a stabile dataflow, high-quality data, a quick response, and to utilize transparent methods which can be both documented and reproduced.
If you are interested in learning more about how we can assist you with geophysical surveys, geophysical data management, integrated modelling and/or data automation, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Read moreSustainable rainwater management depends on valid data of the subsurface. In Geo we combine well proven traditional geological and geotechnical mapping methods with new geophysical and hydrogeological techniques.
This enables Geo to, based on our specialised data pool, offer consultancy to how a project obtains optimal climate proofing and efficient local infiltration of stormwater run-off.
